Over 70 Golfers Tee Off at Jnetics’ Third Annual Golf Day

Thursday 4th September 2025 – Porters Park Golf Club, Radlett

Jnetics welcomed more than 70 enthusiastic participants to its third annual Golf Day, held at the scenic Porters Park Golf Club in Radlett. The event seamlessly blended friendly competition, warm hospitality, and crucial fundraising in support of Jnetics’ mission to prevent and manage Jewish genetic disorders.

The day began with a welcome breakfast, giving players a chance to connect and prepare for the round ahead. Anticipation was high, with golfers eager to hit the course and take part in the day’s raffle and auction.

Each participant received a goody bag packed with snacks and refreshments to keep energy levels up throughout the course. A Halfway House, generously sponsored by a donor, offered additional drinks and treats mid-round, ensuring players stayed fuelled and refreshed.

After the tournament, guests gathered for lunch. Jnetics Chairman, Anthony Angel opened the post-golf proceedings, followed by CEO, Nicole Gordon, who shared several exciting organisational milestones. These included:

  • Over 35,000 sign-ups to Jnetics’ BRCA testing programme
  • A significant rise in clinic bookings for recessive gene testing

The day concluded with a lively prize-giving ceremony, raffle draw, and auction – all in the spirit of raising funds for a vital cause.

Gordon commented: “Despite the weather, it was a fantastic day – filled with generosity, community spirit, and a shared commitment to saving lives. The funds raised will directly support our genetic screening services, which are more important than ever.”

“Jnetics remains the only cross-communal charity in the UK dedicated to the prevention and management of Jewish genetic disorders. In 2025, we anticipate record levels of participation across our recessive screening programmes in schools, universities, and through the Jnetics Clinic. Meanwhile, our BRCA testing programme has already seen over 35,000 people of Jewish ancestry sign up. We urge anyone who hasn’t yet taken part to do so before the programme ends on 31st October 2025. Visit www.jewishbrca.org to register.”

Jnetics extends heartfelt thanks to all participants, sponsors, and volunteers who helped make the event a success, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for the next Golf Day in 2026.
