Volunteer

You can volunteer with Jnetics in a variety of ways:

Become a Screening Advisor

If you are a retired GP, Dentist or Pharmacist, are a medical student or have another medical background you can volunteer for Jnetics as a ‘Screening Advisor (SA)’. SAs are a crucial part of our screening event team. Their role involves having a ten-minute consultation with participants before they provide their genetic sample.

Volunteer at screening (and other) events

If you don’t have a scientific or medical background but want to be a crucial part of the team at screening or fundraising and awareness events, there are lots of other roles to take on.

Offer your expertise

If you have experience or expertise in areas like fundraising, community education, healthcare, publishing, database management, administration, lobbying, PR etc, please get in contact to explore the possibility of offering us some time and support. Any additional hands-on assistance will very much help us to achieve our objectives.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Jnetics. The vast majority of our volunteering opportunities are based in and around North-West London or Manchester. If you live outside of these areas, you can still volunteer for Jnetics remotely but the opportunities are much more ad-hoc and less frequent.
