University Screening Day
We have scheduled extra University Screening Day(s) for this academic year for students who missed USW, or are in their final year.
This will take place 10th May – 11th May.
Students register online in advance and pre-book a screening appointment. They then receive a pack in the post with everything they need to complete the test, including a cheek swab kit, forms and information. During USD, students attend their screening appointment, which takes place via zoom with a trained screening advisor volunteer. The screening advisor helps the student to complete the forms and advises the student how to do the sample.
After the appointment, students post back their sample to Jnetics, after which it is sent on to the lab. Students expect to see results within 20 weeks’ time.
Participation is free. The screening cost is fully subsidised by Jnetics through fundraising and the generosity of the community.
The booking will close on the 3rd May.
Jnetics University Screening Week will be running virtually 24th – 30th November 2025. Students pre-book a screening appointment and a screening pack is sent in the post containing everything needed to complete the test during the appointment.
Students attend their screening appointment via Zoom with a trained Screening Advisor, who will guide the student through completing the form and how to collect the sample. Following the appointment, students post their sample to Jnetics, which will then be sent on to the lab.
Students should expect to receive their results within 15 weeks.
Participation is free to students, it is fully subsidised thanks to our generous donors.
