We are very excited to share with you details of Jnetics inaugural Challenge event, a 4 day, 190 mile cycle challenge in the Lake District in the Spring. From our wonderful base of The Langdale Hotel and Spa in the heart of the Lake District National Park, we will set out on 4 varied and spectacular cycle routes with stunning scenery at every turn.
Not only will we see almost every Lakelands lake and a total of 5 major road passes, we will also enjoy breath-taking views of every mountain group in the Lake District.

Monday 24 May – arrive Monday lunchtime in time for a warm up ride around central Lakeland including views of Elterwater, Windermere and Grasmere lakes.

Total: 33.5 miles

Tuesday 25 May – we ride north alongside Thirlmere Reservoir towards Keswick, enjoying stunning views of the Northern Fells including Skiddaw and Blencathra, and lakes Ullswater and Windermere as well as Ambleside.

Total: 48.2 miles

Wednesday 26 May – with a good few miles now in our legs, we tackle the challenge of the Lake District circuit, cycling clockwise and visiting Little Langdale Valley, Wrynose and Hardknott passes, Derwentwater, Keswick and finishing at the amazing Stone Circle with spectacular 360 degree views.

Total: 67.6 miles

We will then transfer by coach back to the hotel.
We will enjoy a celebration dinner at the end of our challenging day on Wednesday at the Langdale.

Thursday 27 May – we cycle the Grand Finale, the central and southern Lakeland circuit taking in Elterwater, Coniston, Grizedale Forest, Windermere, Rydal and Grasmere before a final turn of the pedals into the hotel.

Total: 37 miles

We will be able to enjoy the hotel’s spa facilities, before we bid a fond farewell to the Lakes and head for home.

For the non-cyclists amongst you, as well as partners who would like to make the most of a fantastic ‘staycation’ opportunity, there will be an option to join us on guided walks for 2 days around the beautiful Lakelands near to Grasmere and Windermere.

COVID-19: We are carefully and regularly monitoring the Government advice regarding COVID-19 and if this determines that the event should not go ahead or be postponed you will be offered the opportunity to carry forward any registration payment made to a future event or receive a full refund from Jnetics.
